Here’s what you need to keep an eye on:
- US Regular Decision Deadlines: For those not applying through early admission, January often brings the culmination of regular decision deadlines. Many institutions set their RD deadlines between January 1 and 15. Remember, these deadlines are firm, so make sure your applications are completed and submitted on time.
- UCAS Deadline for most UK Universities: January 31st is the equal consideration deadline to submit your applications.
- Dutch Deadline for Numerus Fixus Programs: January 15th is the deadline for the most selective programs in the Netherlands, like Computer Science, Psychology or Medicine.
- Mid-Year Transcripts: As the first semester ends, remember to request mid-year transcripts from your school counselors. Some universities might require these updated transcripts to evaluate your academic progress.
- Summer School Applications: For younger students, January is often a time when applications open for many summer schools.
